It’s August and this time of year always seems a little bittersweet doesn’t it? I mean, it’s still summer and the weather is nice, but it’s almost over, September is coming fast and soon the leaves start falling and the temps start dropping. At least, in the Northeast. School starts again, which as a mom I love, my Big Boy is heading to Kindergarten this year so I am actually excited about that, yes I am, I’d be more excited if it was full day, but I am not that lucky, LOL . As a kid though, I was not happy when August ended and it was time to go back to school. This was the time I called the Summer Blues and the color palette brilliantly put together by the lovely Kim B for the DSO Color Challenge fit the August mood perfectly.

I love these colors - they will work nicely in the album I am doing from our vacation to the Outer Banks and the Mid Atlantic coast, although we didn’t exactly see palm trees (except at Savannah Ga Tybee Island Lighthouse)
